As A Retired ’90s Church Kid, I Can Guess How Often You Went To Church Based On How Many Of These 17 Christian Childhood Items You Recognize

We’re talking VeggieTales and purity rings.

I know I write about sex on the internet now...but believe it or not, I actually grew up in a pretty conservative Christian household. So yeah, my childhood looked VASTLY different from the life I live today. And to be clear, I don't have anything against church or Christianity. There's actually a lot about my upbringing that I genuinely appreciate. But looking back now, I'm realizing there were SO many completely "normal" parts of my childhood that most people today would hear about and immediately go: "Sorry...you had a vegetable teach you morality?" Yup, I did.

So today, I'm calling on all fellow '90s and '00s Christian kids. It's time to take a quiz about some of the weirdest, coolest, and most random things every church kid somehow knew about. So think back on your childhood (while gently sidestepping the religious trauma) and see how well you remember the books, shows, and deliciously weird memorabilia from your Christian upbringing. Let's go…

How'd you do? Drop your score in the comments. And while you're there, tell me about any other Christian childhood items I missed. I'm trying to take a walk down memory lane, not the "Valley of the Shadow of Death." (iykyk)
