Daddy Trump probably isn't going to like this...but Republicans seem to be backing away from their commander in chief.
Of all the outlets to bring us this news, the shocking poll comes from Donald Trump's on-again-off-again yet usually favored Fox News.
This week, Fox News published findings from a sample size of 1,002 registered voters between May 15–18, and what they found is a very, very low approval rating.
Can you guess what it is?
It's 39%.
Yes, according to Fox News, Trump’s overall approval rating sits at 39%. And that's not all!
If you take a deeper look at Republican voters, there's also a negative shift among his base — especially those in Trump's key voting groups. His approval rating is down 6 points among rural white constituents and down 5 points among white men without a degree.
Overall, those polled listed the economy as their most pressing concern by a landslide.
About 51% said their finances are worse now than they were two years ago, 77% said the "economy is in bad shape," and 76% disapprove of Trump's job performance as it relates to inflation.
Meanwhile, as his war with Iran is contributing to the rise of gas prices nationwide, and grocery prices continue to skyrocket, Trump appears unfazed.
As recently as last week, a reporter asked him, "When you're negotiating with Iran, Mr. President, to what extent are Americans' financial situation motivating you to make a deal?"
And Trump replied: "Not even a little bit."
"The only thing that matters when I'm talking about Iran, they can't have a nuclear weapon," he said.
