“I Can’t Stand It”: Financial Expert Kevin O’Leary Thinks You’re Broke And “Stupid” Because Of *This* Everyday Purchase

I feel personally attacked.

Canadian entrepreneur and financial expert Kevin O'Leary — known for his financial and business advice on Shark Tank and Dragons' Den — had some veryyy loud opinions about how the average person spends their money. And as someone who falls into the pay bracket he's talking about (and yes, does buy a coffee out probably once a week), well, I feel triggered. But so does the rest of the internet.

In an interview on the podcast, Diary of a CEO, Kevin O'Leary calls out Gen Z, saying they can't get ahead financially because they're wasting their money on things that don't benefit their savings or investment goals. Things like a $5 coffee or buying lunch at work.

He tells Steven Bartlett in the interview, "I can't stand it when I see kids that are making $70K a year spending $28 for lunch. I mean, that's just stupid." He went on, "Think about that being put into an index, and making 8–10% a year for the next 50 years."

Fast forward to the clip going viral. 'Cause it turns out, the internet has a lot to say about Kevin's brutally blunt take. From people feeling personally attacked to others completely agreeing with him, the discourse is truly out of control. So take a look at what people are saying:
