As you probably know, Lush has long been the go-to for turning an ordinary daily routine into a full-blown self-care ritual, with their handmade bath bombs, skincare, and body products earning cult status for a reason. But what you might not know is that the brand also has a collection of seriously luxurious spas hidden inside stores across the UK (Bath, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow City, Leeds, Liverpool, London Covent Garden, London Oxford Street, and Poole) offering everything from facials to massages using their ultra-fresh products.
Designed to help you completely switch off from the chaos of everyday life, the Lush Spa experience combines expert treatments with immersive soundscapes, calming scents, and thoughtful touches that make the whole thing feel incredibly indulgent from start to finish. Honestly, it’s the ultimate excuse to romanticise your life — even if just for a couple of hours.
I recently visited the Lush Spa hidden beneath the brand’s huge Oxford Street store to try Synaesthesia — Lush’s signature 80-minute multi-sensory full-body massage — and it genuinely felt like stepping into another world. After being greeted by my lovely therapist, I was taken through a detailed consultation where we chatted about how I’d been feeling and what I wanted to get out of the experience. To personalise the treatment, I was asked to choose a word from the intentions board along with a tonic bottle to help shape the mood and scent of my massage. I chose “energy” paired with the “zest” tonic, which turned out to be the perfect pick for me.
Once inside the treatment room, the whole experience became completely immersive. My therapist filled the space with warm scented steam using the tonic I’d chosen, and the citrusy fragrance instantly made the room feel calming yet uplifting at the same time. The massage itself used medium-pressure techniques that were deeply relaxing without feeling too intense, while an orchestral soundtrack layered with birdsong and natural soundscapes played in perfect sync with the treatment. It genuinely helped me switch my brain off for the first time in ages and fully detach from the outside world, making me feel miles away from the busyness of central London just outside.
From the calming atmosphere to the thoughtful, personalised touches, the entire experience felt totally rejuvenating and relaxing. And after the treatment, I was given tea and time to quietly decompress before heading back out onto Oxford Street — which honestly made the return to reality feel slightly less offensive — as well as a bath bomb to take home, meaning that the self-care didn’t have to stop once I left the building.
And while the Synaesthesia massage at one of Lush’s incredible spas was one of the most relaxing spa experiences I’ve had in a long time — and I’d wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to properly unwind and treat themselves — the reality is that not everybody lives close enough to a Lush Spa to experience it for themselves. And that is exactly why Lush launched its exclusive spa product range earlier this year, designed to bring those same calming wellness vibes directly into your own home. Inspired by the soothing atmosphere of their treatments, the collection is packed with self-preserving vegan ingredients that help transform your bathroom into a mini sanctuary, whether you want to melt into comforting bath waters, relax with soothing lavender, or ease tired muscles with cooling peppermint. Essentially, it’s all about recreating the signature Lush Spa feeling — no appointment necessary.
Here are some of my favourite products from the range:

Karma Bath Bomb, £9
Magik Mushroom Bath Bomb, £7.50
